Remote Elopement in Icelandic Highlands

Some weddings are about grandeur, others about intimacy—but Rose & Jacob’s Iceland elopement was all about adventure. With only their closest friends as witnesses, they embarked on an unforgettable journey through Iceland’s rugged wilderness, renting an old cabin on the south shore and an iconic white Range Rover Defender to take them deep into the highlands.

Their adventure led them to the remote Katla volcanic mountains, near Þakgil basecamp, where we navigated rough terrain and crossed multiple rivers to reach an untouched, hidden gem. Climbing through the breathtaking mountains, they exchanged heartfelt vows in front of a secluded waterfall, surrounded by nothing but raw nature and the echoes of their love.

Unlike the bustling summer crowds, we found ourselves completely alone—just two souls, their best friends, and the vast Icelandic wilderness. A true off-the-grid love story, filled with authenticity, emotion, and breathtaking scenery.
