Who we are

This website is operated by Kacofilms, s.r.o., Černomořská 645/6, 101 00 Prague, Czech Republic, EU VAT ID CZ17550424 (“we”, “Kaco Films”). We are the controller of the personal data described below. If you have any questions about your data, write to martin@kacofilms.com.

What we collect and why

Contact form. When you send us an inquiry, we receive the information you enter – typically your name, your partner’s name, email address, wedding date and location, where you live, number of guests, your photographer and the message about your wedding. We use it to reply to you, check our availability and prepare an offer. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

Wedding questionnaires. If you book us, we may ask you to fill in a questionnaire about your wedding day (times, people, wishes). We use it only to prepare and film your wedding, i.e. to perform our contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

Technical data. With each form submission we store your IP address and browser type, and our server keeps standard access logs. We use them to protect the website against spam and abuse (our legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

After you send the contact form, we send you a short automatic confirmation email. We do not send newsletters or marketing emails.

Who processes the data for us

• WEDOS Internet, a.s. (Czech Republic) – the server on which this website and its database run.
• Google (Google Workspace: email and calendar) – inquiries arrive in our email inbox, we reply from our email account, and confirmed or tentative dates are kept in our calendar.

We do not sell your data or share it with anyone else, except where required by law.

Embedded videos

Our films are embedded from YouTube (Google) and Vimeo. When a page with a video loads or when you play it, these services may collect data about your device and use cookies according to their own privacy policies (Google, Vimeo). Apart from these embedded videos, this website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

Inquiries that do not lead to a booking are deleted no later than 3 years after our last contact. If you book us, we keep your data for the duration of our contract and then as long as required by law (for example, invoices for 10 years under Czech accounting rules).

Your rights

You have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing and to data portability. Just email us at martin@kacofilms.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Czech data protection authority, the Office for Personal Data Protection (uoou.gov.cz).

Google user data

The administration of this website connects to our own Google Calendar and Gmail account only, in order to show our availability, keep our calendar in sync and send our replies to inquiries. It does not read our mailbox and does not access any visitor’s Google account. Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
